Aerodynes The Aerodynes were a result of Lippisch's fascination of trying to combine the production
of lift and thrust in one process. In a reverse twist, instead of an all-wing aircraft, these were completely wingless aircraft.
Lippisch played with different configurations, and ended up running simple tests with shrouded propellers. Several hovering models were built, powered electrically via cables.
In 1967 the Dornier company took over the development of the Aerodyne with Lippisch as a consultant.
