Lippisch P 01-117 Another tailless design, the P.01-117 of July 22, 1941, was to have Komet-like wings with
30° sweep on the leading edges and a large central fin. The circular section fuselage was cigar-shaped and fitted with a central landing skid, and the pilot lay prone behind the Plexiglas nose cone.
Projected as a fighter, the P.01-117 was to be armed with two 20 mm cannon and two 13 mm machine guns. Power was to be supplied by a variable-thrust BMW 109-510 rocket
motor developing 660-3,307 1b (300-1,500 kg) of thrust. Span was 29 ft 6 in (8.90 m) and length 25 ft (7.62 m).
