The Storch IV in flight

The Storch IV was made by modifying the unresponsive ailerons of the Storch III. The ailerons were installed with top camber, whose rotation axis was at an angle of 90o to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. This was based partially on the form and cross section of the Zanonia seed and the Etrich Taube

Test flights were made in 1929 by Gunther Groenhoff, with excellent results. Control was excellent, even at extreme angles of attack and high lift coefficients.
