Lippisch Supersonic Flying Wing One of the most adventurous of all the visionary designs to come from Alexander Lippisch was a flying wing
powered by a single ramjet which was intended to achieve twice the speed of sound. The delta wings were to have even more sweepback than those of the P.13, while that type's large triangular fin was replaced with
a very much smaller unit above the central wing trailing edge. The pilot was located beneath a very shallow canopy and probably assumed a prone or near-prone position.
